Miki for gut health and beyond
Learn about the ancient wisdom of Miki and how we can utilize in our everyday life.
Hi,
Today, I’d like to write in a freestyle, mainly about Miki and the upcoming class, highlighting feedback from past participants.
I started teaching Miki in October 2022, a year after I moved to LA. Around the same time, I had a number of opportunities to speak about Miki in local events like Weston A. Price Pasadena gatherings. Since then, I’ve taught over 50 people here in LA, combining a hands-on workshop, lectures on the origins of Miki in relation to Japanese cultures and spirituality from the Yayoi period, and sound healing to deepen your connection.
Miki is a plant-based probiotic drink that contains an enormous number of probiotics. 1cc of Miki contains 100 millions of probiotics on average (10 times more than yogurt), according to Dr. Yoshimi Benno, a Japanese Biologist who specializes in studies of flora. My Miki was originally inherited from my teacher who's Miki contained 29 times more than average Miki. Considering the fact that the number of probiotics in Miki continues to multiply with each batch, I am certain my Miki has become much more potent over the years and you are getting the most updated version of it!
Here are some of the things you will learn in my class:
How to make Miki - having this knowledge may replace a few subscriptions of your supplements because Miki helps absorption of your food, gives you vitality and helps recover from fatigue faster, plus helps your sleep. Its health benefits are endless.
Ancient wisdom of Japan - Miki is the sacred gift for the Divine. We will learn how Miki was used to practice peace and non-violence over 2000 years ago and how we can utilize these teachings in your everyday life to feel more fulfilled and connected with yourself and the outer world.
Natural Agriculture - What it is, what about organic or regenerative agriculture. Rather than getting too deep into the science and industry, we will discuss various aspects of its impact to broaden our perspectives.
Intuitive cooking - The making of Miki is highly intuitive. You will learn how to sharpen your senses to activate your intuition needed to make Miki.
This Introduction to Miki is structured in 3 parts.
On day 1, July 20th, we meet in-person for a lecture and hands-on workshop. You will take home Miki to ferment at home.
On day 2, July 21st, we meet on Zoom to check on your Miki and answer questions. Then you take 2 weeks to practice it on your own.
On day 3, August 4th, you will make Miki from your kitchen with my guidance on Zoom, so that you will feel more confident in making it by yourself moving forward.
Coincidentally, this 3-part class begins on the full moon in July and wraps up on the new moon in August, which is perfect to congratulate your new beginning after this class ends!!!
Here are what participants from the most recent class say:
“I immediately felt improvement in my digestion and bowel movements, felt an overall well being feeling, more energy, more grounded, happier. I take it few times a day and enjoy the taste of it and really crave it. It is an all around very positive addition to my life.” Irit, Acupuncturist
“I L❤️VE Everything about it. I especially love learning about the historical roots of Miki and about the Noro who were dedicate women to this sacred, heath and wellness drink. The art and science of Miki making isn’t a replacement for anyone’s spiritual practice and it can deepen one’s spiritual practice, if you allow it to. I can without any reservations recommend Tomoko’s class, and have referred several folks already.” Pam
